If I could get any job I wanted in Wind power, I would like to find one that would allow me to work with home owners and small business to bring the benefits of using Wind Power to them.

More one on one vs the huge utility wind farms.

Guess I should start looking

Capt Jones Garden project

April 19, 2009 - Leave a Response

Wind For Wisconsin has joined with Green Racine and The Capt Jones Victory garden to build a small scale wind project to show how wind can be used to power equipment.

Wind for Wisconsin will use Wind to power a low watt light and for the real small kids a pump for the water garden.

We are also hoping to partner with the Racine Eco Center for a demonstrative project as well.

Cape May, N.J.-based Fishermen’s Energy of New Jersey LLC, an energy consortium that is seeking to build an offshore wind project, has welcomed the opening of a North American headquarters for its Areva-Multibrid wind energy division.

“From our discussions with Jean-Francois Beland, who will head the new office for Areva-Multibrid, we believe this is the first step in Areva’s research to set up supply chain and manufacturing for its Areva-Multibrid 5 MW offshore wind turbine,” says Daniel Cohen, president of Fisherman’s Energy. “We welcome their investigation into manufacturing and sourcing from subcomponent suppliers from North American companies in Ontario, Ohio, Michigan, as well as in New Jersey.”

Time!

Must say this is taking a bit more time then we first thought. Then too we want the very best we can do from day one!
So much to do but when it’s fun is it work?

Think of this as a Film…

February 13, 2009 - Leave a Response

Let’s give some details to the plan shall we?

Think of the idea to bring more renewable energy manufactering to Wisconsin as a film, and the companies we want to work with to invest in The State of Wionsin as the producers of the film.

Then Wind for Wisconsin is the Location Scouts looking for the very best areas for manufacters to locate in given the needs they have.

Example Company Blue Widget build Widgets for Wind Turbins and Blue Widget looking to expand a new plant in the Midwest with 50 full time jobs, Blue Widget to do this needs 30,000 Squire feet of space and be within 20 miles of a railhead and 5 miles of a major highway.

Other needs is good High Schools and Tech Schools to find workers.  Other factors may include wanting to be in a city of less then 50,000.  Using our sources of information Wind for Wisconsin locates areas for Blue Widget to look at to include photo/videos of  building for sale or lease, what the schools are like etc. Then Wind for Wisconsin would start inquiring what offers incentives the seleted areas are willing to offer Blue Widget to locate in that area.

Simple realy are what is realy great is there is no company out there doing this the way our focus would be. Eyes on the ground building contacts with the idea of HELPING companies move to The State of Wisconsin.
